Description
Universal PU Anti Slip FactoryFloor Paint
Anti Slip Floor Paint product name Universal PU Enamel is a single pack polyurethane paint with an aggregate already mixed in which makes a rough, textured finish that is ready to use of the can (after you have thoroughly stirred the paint) Which is perfect for use in areas prone to moisture or spillage.
Non Slip Polyurethane Paint suitable for Concrete, Primed Metal, Wood, Stone and brick floors where light to medium foot traffic will occur.
The most cost effective way and ease of application is on your first coat apply standard smooth paint and then after 12-24 hours apply the second coat non slip
The non slip aggregate reduces the risk of accidents. However, like any painted surface, it can still be slippery when wet.

Painting over existing paint
Step 1 - Check suitability of the product to the existing paint. We recommend you try a sample area first.
Step 2 Clean and Abrade -
- Before you start, have your PPE ready as our paint is oil based so will not wash off easily with soap and water.
- Ensure substate is completely dry and is clean of any dirt, oil, or grease.
- Make sure the existing paint is in good condition prior to painting, then lightly abrade to provide a key for good intercoat adhesion.
- If there is flaking paint this must be removed prior to painting.
- Ensure you have good ventilation to allow solvent vapor to escape, if there is no air movement the coating will not dry as well.
Step 4 Topcoat- Once you have completed the following steps you can apply your top coat. Apply a second coat 12-24 hours after the first coat.
Cut in around the edges first with a 2 to 3 inch brush, then work backwards towards your exit.
When painting large areas, it's easier to pour the paint on the floor in stages, spread it out using a squeegee then back roll with a roller to release the air, to avoid having a bubbly finish as the air is trapped in the coating during the drying process.
Application - Painting a bare substrate
Never pre seal the floor prior to painting especially with latex or PVC sealers paint will not stick.
Step 1 - Ensure substrate completely dry and is clean of any dirt, oil, or grease.
Before putting paint on the floor ensure you have good ventilation to allow solvent vapor to escape, if there is no air movement the coating will not dry as well.
Step 2 Prime –Concrete is a porous material so we recommend on the first coat to thin it by 20% to ensure it impregnates the concrete, this will act as your primer / sealer. We also recommend that you use a standard concrete paint for the first coat for ease of application and it will keep the cost down.
Step 3 Topcoat – 12-24 hours after applying the first coat you can add your first coat of topcoat. Wait another 12-24 hours and then apply the second coat.

Mixing Advice
Ensure you stir your painting thoroughly prior to painting as the aggregate within the paint to make this product non slip may rise and sit onto of the paint. If the non slip is not stirred thoroughly and start to paint you will have a thick build of non-slip and as you use more of the paint the non slip will get less.
Always stir any paint well prior to using, as our coatings are heavily pigmented separation can easily occur and you can have colour float, for example a green paint can seem blue before mixing, this is one of the reasons mixing your paint before use is essential.
Make sure you use a broom stick, mixer on a slow running drill or pallet knife to mix and mixing should take place for 3-5 mins to ensure all the content is properly mixed together to avoid colour and or drying problems.
