Non Slip Floor Paint

Non Slip Single Pack Floor Paint is a polyurethane paint with an aggregate already mixed in which makes a rough, textured finish that is ready to use of the can (after you have thoroughly stirred the paint)

It is suitable for domestic and industrial Concrete, Metal, Wood, Stone, Brick and primed Fibreglass/GRP floors where light foot traffic will occur for internal and external applications.

The most cost effective way and ease of application for a bare floor is on your first coat apply standard floor paint and then after 12-24 hours apply the second coat non slip.

The non slip aggregate reduces the risk of slip however like any painted surface when wet can still be slippery.

Ensure you stir your paint thoroughly prior to painting as the aggregate within the paint may rise and sit onto of the paint. If the non slip is not stirred thoroughly and start to paint you will have a thick build of non-slip and as you use more of the paint the non slip will get less.

Make sure you use a mixer on a slow running drill, pallet knife or a broom stick that reaches the bottom of the can and mixing should take place for 3-5 mins to ensure all the content is properly mixed together to avoid colour and or drying problems.

You can purchase a mixer from us just click here

Thinners required are White Spirit T0001. If thinning is required when applying by a brush or roller start by gradually adding 5% but do not thin more an 10% as the paint will not cover.

    • If there is flaking paint this must be removed prior to painting.

Step 3 - Once you have completed the following steps you can apply your top coat.

Step 1 Clean - Ensure substrate is clean of any dirt, oil, or grease. Hoover any loose dust or bits

Step 2 Prime – Apply one coat of our standard floor paint and thin the first coat 20% to ensure the paint impregnates the concrete which will act as a primer / sealer.
