Description
Universal PU Industrial Non Slip Floor Paint
Industrial Non Slip Floor Paint is a single pack polyurethane paint with an aggregate already mixed in which makes a rough, textured finish that is ready to use of the can (after you have thoroughly stirred the paint) Which is perfect for use in areas prone to moisture or spillage.
Our Anti Slip Paint is suitable for both internal and external applications for Concrete, Primed Metal, Wood, Stone and brick floors where light to medium foot traffic will occur.
To maximise cost-effectiveness and ease of application, we recommend applying a standard smooth paint for the first coat, followed by the non-slip coat 12-24 hours later.
While the non-slip aggregate significantly reduces the risk of accidents, it's essential to note that like any painted surface, it may still be slippery when wet. However, our paint provides an added layer of safety and durability to your floors, offering peace of mind in high-traffic areas.

Application Guide
Painting your floor step by step
- Before you start, have your PPE ready as our paint is oil based so will not wash off easily with soap and water.
- The floor area must be dry and clean free from dirt, dust, oil, grease. Never pre seal the floor prior to painting especially with latex or PVC sealers paint will not stick.
- Stir the paint well with a paddle on a slow running drill or substantial stick.
- If painting bare concrete thin the first coat by 20% to ensure the paint impregnates the concrete acting as the primer / sealer. It's a good idea to use our smooth floor paint on your 1st coat as it's easier to overcoat and helps to keep the cost down.
- Before putting paint on the floor ensure you have good ventilation to allow solvent vapor to escape, ventilation is also necessary to keep the drying times, if there is no air movement the coating will not dry as well.
- Cut in around the edges first with a 2 or 3 inch brush, then work backwards towards your exit.
- When painting large areas, it's easier to pour the paint on the floor in stages, spread it out using a squeegee then back roll with a roller to release the air, to avoid having a bubbly finish as the air is trapped in the coating during the drying process.
- Apply a second coat 12-24 hours after. Area can be walked on after 3-4 days and fully dry 7 days.
How to Mix Non Slip Paints
It's important to note that sometimes the non-slip aggregate may settle on top of the paint, which is entirely normal. However, it's crucial to thoroughly stir the paint to evenly disperse the aggregate throughout. By taking this simple step, you'll guarantee that the non-slip properties are evenly distributed, providing consistent traction across the painted surface.
Use a broomstick, mixer, or a slow-running drill or pallet knife to mix. For the best result, mix for 3-5 mins to ensure all the content is properly mixed together. This avoids colour and or drying problems.
As our coatings are heavily pigmented, separation can easily occur, and you can have "colour float". For example, a green paint can look blue before mixing, which is why mixing your paint before use is essential.
New concrete floors will need time to green this generally is a period of 3-6 months from when the concrete floor is laid, we say 3-6 months as it depends on the thickness of the concrete and quality, it’s always best ask the supplier and fitter of the concrete floor as to how long to wait till painting.
