Step by step guide for a professional finish

  • Good Preperation is paramount to a professional long lasting finish on any project.
  • Lightly abrade your PVC plastic by hand with a fine grit sand paper or scotch brite pads
  • Wipe down with a acetone based cleaner to remove dust dirt or any other contaminants
  • Take time masking and papering the surround using non bleeding tape for clean cut lines
  • Apply the First Coat making slow, steady passes giving the PVC a light mist coat
  • Apply Additional Coats waiting 30 mins to 1 hour between
  • Once you’ve completed your paint coatings, allow to dry for at least 24 hours before you use it
  • In applications where the PVC could be scratched easily, wait up to a week before use
  • Spray Applications will provide the best results using a spray gun or aerosol spray cans

Spray Application Guide

If applying with an air assisted or air assisted airless system - Use a 11-13 thou tip no thinners usually required. If thinning is necessary use around 10% Set air and paint pressures until good atomization is achieved and fingering (lines in the spray) have blended in.

If applying with a pot gun

Use a 1:2 to 1:4 tip set up thinning by 10% if required. More thinners may be added to achieve good atomization to achieve better flow of the paint giving a better finish.
